Alba Landscaping ltd. is dedicated to building thriving landscapes and long-lasting relationships. We've built our company on a foundation where our clients can make one call to have all their landscaping needs taken care of.
The word ''alba'', means Scotland in the Gaelic language, and is a reflection of the proud heritage of company founder Dian Tainsh (pictured below), who is from Grantown-on-Spey in the Highlands of Scotland and moved to Canada in 2014.
You can count on us to provide you with a reliable, quality and friendly service.
With 10+ Years of experience in landscape design, installation, restoration & maintenance; Dian, ie, our owner, brings together his deep understanding of botany and soil science with a love of landscape design, hardwood carpentry and stonemasonry.
From maintaining estate gardens in the north east of Scotland and working with Clydesdale horses used for traditional forestry/farming practices, to trekking the mountains of Patagonia, or volunteering on organic food forests in Maui, Hawaii; a passion for horticulture and the natural environment has led him many places.
After graduating with a Bsc(hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University, Dian moved to Canada at age 24, and after spending several years working for some of the landscaping industry's leading companies within the city of Vancouver, he started Alba Landscaping Ltd in Jan 2020.
